While recently reading an online article titled 'How Long Can Americans Go Without Coffee ...', come to learn the national average cost of a cup of coffee in the US is $4.90 where most consumers are willing to pay as much as $5.57 per cup. Needless to say, given most individuals/families today appear to be very much concerned about the rate of inflation, cost of gas, and high price of groceries, it makes me sit and wonder how this can be. In other words, given the ever increasing price of gas, groceries, etc., I fail to appreciate much less understand how many continue to patronize their local coffee shop/cafe in light thereof. While many perceive this to be convenient and expedient, I strongly disagree and attribute this mindset to exceptional marketing based on consumer ignorance, poor judgement, lack of common sense, and just plain laziness not to mention I know only too well from my own experience and talking to others, it can definitely be time consuming. In fact, I challenge anyone reading this to prove one can physically drive/walk to their local Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, or other coffee shop/cafe and purchase a cup of coffee or espresso-based coffee drink all in a matter of several minutes at the drive-up window (if and when provided) or directly inside the store. I Don't Think So! Fact is, I have proven to myself and others time and again (actually everyday), I can brew my own and better tasting espresso/espresso-based coffee beverage in 3-minutes in the privacy of my own home/office. Furthermore, this website already provides all the information you need including a cost breakdown to show how this can easily be accomplished. So unless you're a glutton for punishment who enjoys wasting valuable time and money, there's really 'No Good Excuse' not to brew your own.
